Bookreporter Talks To… Jennifer Hillier

Jennifer Hillier talks to Carol Fitzgerald about her latest thriller, THINGS WE DO IN THE DARK, where there are two storylines that weave together. Jennifer shares what sent her in the direction to write this book. She wanted to look at what would happen to a child who had been damaged as a child and how they do from there. She talks about writing out of sequence and talks about being “an instant gratification author.” She also talks about the fun she had writing all the scenes, and her relationship with her editor who helped her with the flow of it. She talks about reading to herself to check the cadence of what she is writing. They also talk sharp objects and Russian Red lipstick.
